Youth Weeks 2010

Youth Weeks are sponsored by the Evangelization Group of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Evangelism and discipleship are the main areas of focus with particular concerns for issues which confront today’s students. Our desire is for students to stand strong morally, spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. In order for this to happen, students must be grounded in deepened convictions about their relationship with God and His Word.

For most youth and adults, the week is a “mountain top experience” which challenges and strengthens them in their walk of faith. Over the past 9 years, we have seen 25,291 decisions for Christ.

The theme for Youth Weeks 2010 is “Apologetics: How to Defend Your Faith.”

Youth Weeks, designed for rising seventh through twelfth graders, include personal quiet times, small group Bible studies, recreation, worship experiences, large group celebrations, and church group devotions. In addition, Bible study classes are provided for adult chaperones and college students, and there will be Youth Ministry training for the adults who attend each week of camp.

Each church is asked to provide at least one small group Bible study teacher and assistant teacher. Bible study materials are mailed to the teachers well in advance, complete with step-by-step instructions. All participants will receive a theme t-shirt upon arrival at Caswell, and everyone will be asked to wear their t-shirts for Tuesday night worship, providing a visual image of unity.

A program fee of $50.00 will be charged for all youth and adults attending any youth week at Caswell. This helps cover the cost of each week’s speakers, praise and worship teams, t-shirt and materials. In order for us to adequately plan for the correct number of participants attending this summer, we are asking that this non-refundable program fee of $50.00 per person be included with the Caswell deposit by April 1, 2010.

Deep Impact Summer Missions Camp

July 4-10, 2010

Deep Impact camp will combine the worship experience of summer youth camp with the “hands-on” missions experience of a mission trip. Each participant will choose a mission project that they will be involved in throughout the week. A wide selection of mission projects will be available from which to choose. This camp is for adults and youth only (rising 7th-12th graders). No childcare will be available for this camp. All adults and youth will be expected to participant in a mission project. These mission projects will be off campus and each church must provide drivers and transportation to and from the projects daily. All lodging is in the barracks and meals in the dining hall. Big Daddy Weave will be leading the worship each evening.
