Tucked away on the eastern tip of Oak Island, Fort Caswell occupies the site of a former US military fortress. Since 1949, when the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina bought the property from the federal government, Caswell has been an instrument of peace, offering guests a place of quiet reflection and relaxation. We invite you to come and visit us here at Caswell and discover the peace and beauty that thousands have enjoyed.

Fort Caswell is owned and operated by the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and was founded to provide a facility for programs, activities, and retreats of the Baptist State Convention, Associations, Churches, Agencies, and Institutions of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.

Today, we are pleased to welcome guests from other denominations, non-profits, schools, universities and community organizations as space and scheduling allow.

Experience the beauty and serenity of life on the end of a North Carolina barrier island. Add to that our historic character, inspired landscaping, and nearby attractions, and you've got a site like nowhere else on Earth.

From groups of 2 to 1,200, we have the facilities to accommodate your group. We have classroom spaces for small, personal meetings all the way up to our 1,000+ seat auditorium with modern sound and video capabilities.
